The detail

Did you know most household sponges are made from plastic?

More importantly, they aren’t recyclable. But our clever Plastic Free Sponges are made from responsibly sourced cellulous fibres. Which means they're compostable!

Our sponges are really long lasting and super absorbent so they’ll drink up any spill you throw at them. These sponges are great in the kitchen and bathroom.

You can even pop them in the dishwasher for a freshen up when they start to get a bit mucky.

They arrive dried almost hard, so give them a rinse and squeeze under a tap before first use. The sponges will dry hard but a drink of water will soften them back up again and again.

2 Sponges per pack.

Power house s

These little sponges are a power house around the home and for cleaning the car, I have very small hands and my joints are not good enough to hold a large sponge, but these are just great, my grandchildren each have their own at mine and my daughter has snuck a couple of boxes to hers, they are so hard wearing I'm really impressed,

These sponges are really nice quality and last along time. Leave my plates cups etc nice and clean. I also use many other wilton products as such good quality and their washing up liquids really do leave all my cutlery and plates etc lovely and shinny. So glad i found this company.

Such a great product. I’ve been using Wilton’s sponges for a few years and would never go back to using any other brand. Worth the price as the last for months (just pop in the dishwasher to clean)

Great!

We get asked this a lot

If you have a compost heap, cut them up and chuck them in, they'll be gone in a few months. You can cut them up and ad them to some council compostable collections too. Or, throw them in your bin, it's hard to say how long they will take to degrade in landfill as there are too many variable, but they will degrade eventually.

Normal sponges are made of plastic and they're not recyclable. So every plastic sponge you've bought, still exists, probably at the bottom of a landfill. Our sponges are natural and will degrade easily over time.

Forever! Ok, not forever, but they do last a long time. When they start to look mucky and tired, pop them in the wash or the top drawer of your dishwasher for a glow up.

100% yes. The sponges are made from cellulose fibres, they soak up loads of liquid and degrade just like wood pulp once you're done with them. The pack is made from wood and a clever vegetable based lining (which isn't plastic).
